Today I received the most beautiful bouquet of flowers from a wonderful family who started out as a For Sale By Owner. I don’t normally call on For Sale By Owners but I had a buyer in mind who I thought might like the neighborhood. When I called on it I was especially surprised at how low the asking price was, this really peaked my curiosity. I understood the seller’s intentions…to sell quickly and to sell as is. I certainly agreed with her sentiment in her particular situation of being recently widowed. It was really too much of a headache to update the home and price it to make more profit. Which probably wouldn’t have worked out as well in the long run.
The home was listed the day before Thanksgiving and was under contract with the 2nd offer in 7 days! In fact the buyer I had in mind never even had the opportunity to view it as they were out of town for the holiday. It closed quickly in the same month which allowed everyone to start January 1 with their next new focus.
I cannot express how wonderful it was to work with this family. They all pulled together (son’s & daughter’s) and did a lot to make everything happen in a short amount of time.
And so today I received this beautiful bouquet of Tulips which made my day! And along with it a note that read…
”Jen, thank you so much for everything you’ve done. We know it definitely wasn’t the easiest or most profitable house you’ve sold, so we appreciate even more how hard you worked on our behalf.” Judy and Family
And even now, I can’t begin to express the gratitude of working with such good, decent people who themselves work hard and who appreciated my hard work as well. One thing is for sure I really fell in love with this family as I do with most of my clients and the last person who sent me flowers….I married.
